Equipment Operator Follow this link to apply: Classification: Non-Exempt Reports to: Superintendent Summary: The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating the motorized equipment and vehicles on the golf course. Essential job functions: · Operate equipment including, but limited to, trucks, gang mowers, tractor-drawn mowers, mechanical sand rakes, triplex and 5-gang self-contained mowing units · Maintains and makes minor adjustments to equipment · Change cups and tee makers and maintains ball washers, hazard stakes and traffic control rope · Applies pesticides and fertilizer, as needed · Perform Greenskeeper duties, as needed · Walk mow greens. · Assist golf superintendents in monitoring conditions of golf course. · Operates fairways and rough units. · Operates all large tractors Physical Demands: · Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk and crouch · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects. · The co-worker can be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. · The employee is occasionally exposed to wildlife such as snakes, scorpions, spiders, bees and hornets Qualifications: · Valid Drivers’ License. · Previous golf equipment operating experience preferred. · Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
