We are looking for an experienced Class B (CDL) truck driver or entry level laborer for daily moves with our company trucks. Both drivers and laborers needed! Drivers will be moving furniture as well. RESPONSIBILITIES/ JOB DETAILS: • Transport customer's home valuables and furniture to and from warehouses and customer's new home or storage facility. • Arrive early and on time for each scheduled shift. • Absolutely must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle. • Class B (CDL) license a plus, also looking for Non-CDL drivers and laborers. • MUST BE mature, responsible, ready to work (possibly up to 6 days a week). • May work long hours (8-12 hrs daily). Shorter days may be 4 hours. • Foul language and excessive cell phone use while in presence of Customer(s) is not tolerated! • Company shirts, sweatshirts and/or jackets and facemasks provided. Company clothing (shirts) MUST be worn daily for all scheduled shifts. Drivers/Laborers responsible for providing their own work pants and sneakers/ boots. • Possibility of daily cash tips from customers, as a bonus! • Reliable weekly pay. • Drivers must document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. • Will be educated on company paperwork that must be completed for all scheduled jobs. Must have customer's signature on all paperwork. • Must clean up after deliveries, do a walk-through of customer's property to ensure all items were delivered and account for company tools (hand-trucks, dolly's, pads, hand-held tools, etc) before departing. Must be responsible and alert at all times. • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions. • Collect and verify delivery instructions. • Report defects, accidents or violations. • Collect payment from customers BEFORE delivery (Check or credit card information to be processed by office). SKILLS: • Work experience as a truck driver/ laborer a plus! Class B CDL, Non-CDL driver & Laborers. • Must be able to lift heavy furniture and boxes (50+ lbs). (Mattresses, couches, pianos, dining room tables, etc). • Ability to work long hours. • Ability and maturity to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, unpleasant/ unhappy customers, etc) • Valid truck driving license, valid driver's license and reliable vehicle is a must!
