Job Description Warehouse Associate – Florida Hardware LLC Florida Hardware is a distribution services company operating 250,000 square feet of warehousing, distribution, and manufacturing across multiple locations serving 3,000 independent retail outlets along the east coast. It is multi-package, multi-route, hi-flow distribution in a fast-paced environment. Florida Hardware is a 145-years old, privately owned family business employing 217 people. We inventory, and ship with our trucking fleet various hard-line products including: farm-ag, plumbing, electrical, lawn & garden, paint sundries, and tools We are looking for individuals that are reliable, personable, computer proficient, and fast learners. We are looking for a warehouse worker to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. Responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing and scanning orders. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. We are hiring for and Late shift (4:00pm - 12:30pm) . Responsibilities • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship) • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store) • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization • Report any discrepancies • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations Skills • We hire for attitude and aptitude, but the following are required… o A positive attitude o Ability to lift heavy objects o Good organizational and time management skills o High school degree or equivalent • These are not required, but can give you a head start… o Proven working experience as a warehouse worker o Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems o Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods o Current forklift license Benefits: Include medical, dental, vision, 401K with match, life insurance, disability, and vacation.
