Think About It

It's been a while, but I think it's time for another: What puts sauce on my Spaghetti! Tonight I just wonder, do Christians think about what they really stand for, as they sit in the pews on Sunday? Do they know what God says about what they do on a daily basis? They even make me wonder if they really believe in God. I love all of my sister's and brothers in Christ, but I, not I but Christ needs them to take their faith just a little more seriously. We set in church on Sunday, or Saturday and shout louder, sing harder and pray more seriously than any one else in church. Then we go out and hate our white/black brothers and sisters. We go out and trash our neighborhoods. We go out and bash our brothers and sisters. We can so sympathize with those of our own kind so easily, our own church members, our own group, our own race, our own political party. But when it comes to the other race, the other church, the other group, political party, we come up with hatred, belittling, distrust. Look everyone, whatever happened to that verse in the Bible, Galatians 3:23? There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male or female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Remember that? Or is that not in your Bibles? What about 1Jhn. 4:20, whoever claims to love God but hates a brother or sister, IS A LIAR. For whoever does not love their brothers and sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen. Is that in your Bible? I wonder. There is a scripture. Isaiah 58:7? Is it not to share your food with the hungry, and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter. When you see the naked to clothe them, and to not turn away from your own flesh and blood? I see no race or denomination or political party in these statements. Don't we know that we are running people away from God with these things. As I close this long dissertation I leave all of you with these words. Matthew 25:40, The King will reply, truly I tell you, whatever you did unto the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did unto me. Good night my beloved family.
