Saladino’s, California's largest independent foodservice distributor, is seeking a motivated Building & Equipment Maintenance Specialist for our Ontario, California distribution center. The Building and Equipment Maintenance Specialist inspects, services and repairs company buildings, equipment and property. Working at Saladino's includes these benefits: $24.50 to $30.00 per hour based on experience Paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid bereavement Fully paid medical, vision, and dental insurance for associate 401k with company match after 1 year Essential Functions: -Identify and make repairs to buildings, equipment, and property by performing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC work. -Ensure that building security systems are functioning and are properly maintained. -Document work and purchase orders, travel claims, bids and material lists. -Order and stock building supplies, materials and parts (e.g., motors, parts, paint, etc.). -Obtain estimates and quotes of materials and equipment needed for repairs and the completion of job tasks up to predetermined limit. -Plan and schedule corrective repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure work is completed in a timely manner. -Oversee vendors and contractors to determine that work is performed and completed safely, correctly and in a timely manner, and ensure that procedures meet local, state and federal requirements by reviewing plans and specialized drawings. -Provide direction, guidance and instruction to company personnel and other vendors/contractors in the correct operation of equipment and materials used to complete required maintenance activities. -Schedule, plan and request work orders, inspections to complete job assignments and building inspections on schedule. -Gather information to provide recommendation on requested improvements and/or modifications to company facilities including cost estimates, designs, scope of work, timing and funding. -Review and approve vendor invoices to ensure the accuracy of figures so that Accounting Department can facilitate prompt payment to vendors. -Perform other duties as assigned. -Knowledge, Skills and Abilities -Intermediate English language skills: can read multi-step instruction or procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics; write business letters, reports, etc. using proper grammar, formatting, punctuation; able to speak confidently to small groups in various work settings -Technical knowledge of electronics and electrical motors -Experienced with all hand and power tools common to the duties listed above -Supplies own hand tools common to the trade Education and/or Experience -Trade or vocational school graduate in a related field required -Three years prior experience in facilities maintenance or related field required -Licenses and Certifications -Valid California Driver’s License and clean DMV record (no more than 2 points) -Current maintenance/repair certifications of powered industrial trucks preferred To apply click here:
