We are seeking a warehouse associate to focus mainly on our shipping and receiving area. This is ideally a person who has extensive experience in warehouse work. Being a vendor to the entertainment industry, the hours tend to be quite demanding, and punctuality is very important to us. Some days are slower or busier than others and staying on task is crucial to maintain an efficient work environment. Duties Include: • Pulling, packing, staging and unpacking orders with attention to detail • Interfacing with truck drivers and set dressers with courtesy • Keeping track and updating our job board with shipping and return dates • Inventorying items into our rental tracking software • Maintaining a clean and tidy shipping/receiving area • Organizing and cleaning of furniture/small items throughout the warehouse • Getting into and sticking to morning and evening cleaning routines • Lifting heavy and sometimes awkward shaped furniture • Taking care of houseplants You may be the right fit if this sounds like you: You have at least 2 years of warehouse experience, rental warehouse a plus. Details and accuracy should matter greatly to you and going above and beyond when it comes to organization should come naturally. Time management is one of your strong suits and can work in an independent environment with minimal supervision. You have a flexible schedule and can be counted on to come in early/stay late when the days duties call for it (within reason and with OT). You are comfortable working with a small crew and wearing many hats. You are extremely organized and can think on your feet. You learn quickly and approach tasks with efficiency and forethought. You take pride in your work and thrive under pressure. You can take great care when handling and cleaning high end furniture pieces. We have fun doing what we do and try to make the atmosphere one that you look forward to coming in to. We are maintaining Covid protocols per the industry standard to keep our clients and employees safe. You will be required to mask for the duration of your shift, maintain distance (when able), disinfect all shared work areas/ tools frequently and generally maintain cleanliness. Experience in the following areas are also of benefit and will certainly improve your odds. Be prepared to discuss your expertise or experience with: • Knowledge of warehouse duties and practices • Any experience working for a small business • Knowledge of design styles and designers in regard to furniture, art, architecture, and time period • Experience in the care and maintenance of houseplants
