Description
Seeking a very diligent, mechanically inclined, and trustworthy person to run a sawmill.
The mill is currently near Silverton surrounded by logs that are ready to be milled.
The mill needs a few items fixed In order to be tiptop.
1. Throttle cord to handle needs attached. this will engage the soap water dispenser that lubes blade.
2. Wheel bearing on right wheel has come loose. consequently its unsafe to tow. we need to fix the bearings or attach a new wheel axel.
3. Rise and lower adjustment
when you raise up and down the mill blade
it jerks. it needs to be smooth.
4. Proper blade adjustment tension.
so far I’ve winged it on the amount of tension the blade needs to cut. Maybe research to learn how tight it should be.
5. Mill wood
You can run the mill by hand throttle right now. We have to move it to more level ground about 10ft from where it is now.
I’d like you to start milling the 30 logs present as soon as we move it closer to ground and more level.
Ill take a trip out to this farm area once to show you everything. once you get the hang of it, you’ll be going by yourself to mill.
Basically the only way I make money is if you’re diligently making usable lumber. Each day you can send me a photo of what you’ve made and ill send you $150-$200 via Venmo each day.
I renovate properties and do arborist work, so I cant be there to help. You can bring a friend if you’d like and ill pay the helper $50.
There is a small tractor onsite to help move logs around. After these 30 logs are milled, we have 10 other clients lined up to do mill work on their property.
Milling is actually pretry fun.
This is the model. The Rima 31g has a 31in cut capacity and can cut as long ad 16ft.
