5 -day percussion camp for children entering 4th, 5th or 6th grade in the upcoming school year, July 19-July 23, 1:00-4:00 pm, $200/child Who: Children entering 4th, 5th or 6th grade in the upcoming school year When: July 19th - July 23rd - 1:00 - 4:00 pm Where: 314 Dominion Road, NE, Vienna, VA 22180 Cost: $200/child (includes camp T-shirt, Eventbrite processing fee) What: The Vienna Jammers are offering a 5-day percussion camp for children who are entering 4th, 5th or 6th grade in the upcoming school year. Camp participants will experience first-hand the high energy, uniquely hands-on teaching style of award-winning educator David Reynolds, Jr. and the Jammers camp staff. Children will have daily instruction in drum set, hand drumming, and mallet percussion ensemble. No prior musical experience is required, or expected! This camp serves as the audition for placement in our White and Black ensembles for those that are interested (space is limited). Refund Policy: You may request a refund by emailing [email protected] by May 31, 2021. You will then be contacted within 5 business days with information regarding your refund. Your refund will not include the processing fee as Eventbrite's fees are nonrefundable. Financial Assistance: Please email [email protected] for information regarding applying for financial assistance. Please Note: Your child may only attend one week of Jammers Experience Camp. Thanks! The following safety precautions will be adhered to by staff, camp participants and their parent/guardians: 1. Clear messaging that anyone who may be sick should not come to camp 2. Self-health check list must be completed before each on site activity (via Google form) 3. One-way ingress and egress; Enter through the front doors and exit through the rear 4. Required use of face coverings or masks before entry and while in the facility 5. Use of touchless hand sanitizer upon entry (or students may bring their own) 6. Temperature checks before the start of each rehearsal 7. Each camp participant will have a set of mallets, sticks, and a storage area assigned to them to use for the week to prevent sharing of equipment 8. Implementation of protocols to ensure that students can practice safe social distancing 9. Frequent verbal instruction and reminders from the Director on safety and hygiene rules 10. Signage throughout the space to reinforce safety and hygiene rules 11. Regular wipe-down of high touch surfaces and a deep cleaning as necessary 12. Use of nano technology air purifiers to reduce contaminants 13. Improved ventilation to refresh air, when appropriate 14. Protocols for prompt reporting of any potential sickness
