This mushroom is not only known to have medicinal properties for humans but has a delightfully creepy effect on certain insects!
The spores can enter the system of caterpillars or ants and take control of their central nervous system, compelling them to seek higher ground where they then perish and feed the mushroom that pops out of their head!
