Description
I have a 55 gallon vivarium with stand, lights, thermometer, timer, three sources of heat and a thermostat available. All of the plants are live and include pothos, moss, two growing avocados, English ivy and a few others I'll have to find labels for if interested. The vivarium contains five types of thriving isopods: powder orange, dairy cow, native, clown/Montenegro, and zebra. Adults and offspring of all sizes. It also contains two smokey oak millepedes, several captive bred dusky slugs (native), a breeding population of glass snails (native), two different types of earthworms that are also breeding, four hissers (male/three females), a slow breeding population of banded crickets, one female grass spider and a female orb weaver spider (both came in on live plants during the winter and can be released if desired when the weather around here stops being batshit). There are a few darkling beetles mixed in but have no reproduced. It has *exploded* with springtails. I set it up a while ago as a showcase enclosure for living room as I enjoy watching creepy crawlies but have decided to go in another direction. I don't have interest in separating and selling the isopods in cups. This would be a great addition to anyone breeding them. They are very abundant. I have a bunch of detrivore food; the slugs require mushrooms occasionally; I keep the food varied with protein, vegetables and fruit as well as Wysong kibble supplementation. Frozen and freeze dried fish food/flake work as well, of which the enclosure would come with. I can't really slap a cash price on it, but am really interested in making an outright trade for another critter with at least a starter setup to invest my time in. Open to offers. I have large and small experience with reptiles, arachnids, amphibians, ornery and chill mammals and birds. I have extensive animal experience but will always be open minded to new research and staying up to date with information. I am willing to stay in touch with updates if desired. I have a regular and an exotic vet, have been at my address for more than a decade, no small children, stable income. One small dog, two cats and a grouchy hedgehog are the only other pets in the house. If you don't have a critter to offer but have something else in mind, feel free to send an email. I'd really love to see this enclosure go to someone super into inverts. Much appreciated. Edit: for some reason it isn't letting me upload pics. I have then upon request.
