2021 Los Alamos County Safety Town for children entering kindergarten for the 2021 - 2022 school year.
Los Alamos County Police Department and Recreation Divisions have partnered together for the 2021 Safety Town program, running June 7th - 11th, 2021 at Los Alamos Middle School.
Safety Town is FREE for all children entering Kindergarten for the 2021 - 2022 School year. Children must be 5 years of age by September 1st, 2021.
Safety Town’s Mission is to provide the opportunity for students entering Kindergarten in the Fall to learn about safety in their school,community, and neighborhood. Students will learn strategies to keep themselves safe and have opportunitiesto practice basic safety procedures in new situations. These include: fire safety, bicycle safety,animal safety, gun safety, stranger safety, pedestrian safety, bus safety, water safety and drug safety
Registration begins: Monday, April 19th, 2021
Registration closes: Wednesday, June 2nd or when Safety Town is full
Maximum number of participants - 45 Participants must be able to wear a face mask at all times. Please provide individual water bottles
Safety Town will be 9:00am - 11:30am
**Additional Registration forms are needed after you register through Eventbrite, and can be found here. Along with this Eventbrite registration, please complete the forms and email to [email protected] or drop off at the Aquatic Center front desk, attn: Vera and Wendy, before June 2nd, to be fully registered for Safety Town.
