Diagnose a 2005 Honda Odyssey

I need someone to diagnose my Van. Long story short is my oil filter fell off while driving van died and when i went to restart it heard a knocking. went got oil filter and oil put it in knock was still there. That was 2 days ago Today i started it for a friend to hear and there was no knock til the VSA kicked on. Now at times before this ever happened my VSA would kick on idling or at coming to a stop. not all the time but sometimes. Now the knock starts after the VSA has kicked on even after i turn engine off and start it back up. If i wait a while and start it there is no knock. So at first i thought i ruined engine but after today i am thinking there may be something wrong but ive had engines knock before and this isnt loud at all compared to what ive heard before. So i need it diagnosed and see exactly what it needs. Id like to have someone hear it before VSA kicks on and after. It may need some rebuilding but it may need something else just not sure
