A restful time away for participants in 3DM Learning Communities and the 3DM Network and their spouses 3DM West Senior Leader and Spouse RetreatMonday, 2:00 PM July 19-Thursday, 2:00 PM, July 22, 2021 420 Pierce Lane, Bigfork, Montana   Come and join us for a fantastic time away in beautiful northwestern Montana with other leaders who are part of 3DM Learning Communities and part of the 3DM Network! If you are married, come with your spouse for this time of refreshment and renewal. Our historic family cabin on Flathead Lake is the gathering place where we will spend our mornings together. The afternoons will offer lots of great recreational options and we will gather again at the cabin each evening for dinners.  The mornings will include worship times, teaching input, and processing in Huddles, followed by lunch. This will be an excellent opportunity for spouses to connect with others who are on the same journey and get some first-hand experience of the discipling culture and missional families we are seeking to build. Individuals are welcome to attend as singles or without your spouse and families can bring kids (see below). Each afternoon you will be free to enjoy the exceptional beauty of the area. At our cabin on Flathead Lake we will enjoy relaxing at the beach, swimming in the lake, and watersports with our boat. For those who want to explore, the quaint resort town of Bigfork is just minutes away with its art galleries, boutiques, and the Bigfork Summer Playhouse. The nearby Eagle Bend Golf Course offers championship golfing with spectacular views of the mountains and lake. Local rivers offer excellent fly fishing, or you can charter a fishing trip on Flathead Lake. Superb day hikes can be had in the nearby Jewel Basin, or you can take the 45-minute drive north to visit the world-famous Glacier National Park.  Each evening we gather back at the cabin to enjoy dinner together on the deck. After dinner we gather around a cozy beach fire and roast S'mores while taking in the breathtaking sunsets. Over the four days we spend together there will be significant input and meaningful interaction with plenty of time for rest and recreation.    The cost of the retreat, including all the lunches and dinners, is covered for the senior leader and spouse of those teams who are currently enrolled in a 3DM Learning Community in the western US and Canada (and additional leaders currently participating in a 3DM West Learning Community Huddle). Costs for 3DM Learning Community Alumni who are part of the 3DM Network are also covered. Other LC Alumni who are not yet part of the 3DM Network are invited to attend for a fee of $160 per couple or $80 per individual. If you are part of a 3DM Learning Community not run by Bob and Pam, you are invited to join us, but will need to pay the above fees. All participants are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses.   There are several options for lodging nearby: 1. Timbers Motel, About $140-150 per couple per night in a recently remodeled standard quality motel, about 1 mile north of the Rognlien Lake Cabin. 2. The Swan River Inn, $145-285 per couple per night (depending on room) in a small inn located in the village of Bigfork overlooking the harbor, about 1.5 miles north of the Rognlien Lake Cabin. 3. Mountain Lake Lodge, About $199-309 per couple per night, upscale resort hotel on Flathead Lake, 3.5 miles south of the Rognlien Lake Cabin. 4. Flathead Lake Resort, $98-218 per couple per night in funky lakeside resort, about 3.7 miles south of the Rognlien Lake Cabin. 5. The Islander Inn, About $177-225 per couple per night, funky island-style bungalows across road from Flathead Lake, 4 miles south of the Rognlien Lake Cabin. 6. Marina Cay: About $239-439 per night, upscale resort on Bigfork Harbor, 1.5 miles north of the Rognlien Lake Cabin. 7.  Wayfarers State Park, tent or RV camping with hookups, $18 per campsite per night, 1 mile north of the Rognlien Lake Cabin.   You are welcome to come as a couple, as an individual, or as a family. Our times together in the mornings are only for the adults, but we would love for the kids to join us for lunch, hang out with us at the lake in the afternoons, and join us for the dinners. For those with younger children we are planning to organize childcare in the mornings nearby for a reasonable fee. Let us know if you will need childcare and for how many kids. We encourage you to consider adding extra days to your visit to explore the area and make a longer vacation out of your trip! Glacier International Airport in Kalispell is less than half an hour away from our cabin. Missoula International Airport is two hours away. Note: Due to the ongoing pandemic we encourage participants to be vaccinated if possible before the retreat. Space is limited, so register now to save your spot on this refreshing getaway!
