Wear your power on your sleeve, dress up as your alter ego, or completely reinvent yourself during an evening of artistic reinterpretations, as Afrobeta celebrates their new remix album Illusion Motel: Extended Stay. The night kicks off with a screening of Birthright, a documentary created by Jayme Gershen, which follows Afrobeta as they are invited to perform in Havana, Cuba. The duo’s desire to visit their parents’ homeland ignites a surreal journey into who they are, where they come from, and what “being Cuban” really means. Live performances by Venezoniks and Afrobeta, and DJ sets by Lamebot, Phaxas, and Galactic Effect keep the party bumpin’ into the wee hours! Wardrobe changes are optional, but one-of-a-kind, up-cycled Afrobeta tees are also making their debut… just sayin’.
