It’s never too early to understand the importance of mental health and establishing good practices.
This one-week after-school program teaches mental health awareness, mindfulness and encourages healthy practices.
We will do daily activities that are based on themes like:
stress relieving movementunderstanding and processing emotions and thoughtsreducing stress through foodand mindfulness through diversityThese hands-on activities will provide a safe, engaging and fun learning environment for young people to understand and embrace their mental health.
This class will be facilitated using a hybrid-learning format where students can participate in-person at the Center or virtually through Zoom.
Open to youth grades 3 - 8. This workshop is free, but registration is required.
Classes are 90 minutes per session and will be held on the following dates and times:
Monday, May 17, 2021 at 4 p.m.
Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 4 p.m.
Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 4 p.m.
Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 4 p.m.
Friday, May 21, 2021 at 4 p.m.
