Sadly, a large percentage of listings in this area are not offering pets but rather are phishing for your email and/or phone number. The most obvious ones show no other way to reply other than emailing to an email address shown cryptically in the body of the text or the photo. That is, you can't reply through Craigslist, where your email is concealed. Most of these listings have a single photo of the most adorable dog or cat imaginable. Most show Atlanta as the location. You'll see scores of these listings every day. Use caution in responding to listings. Clearly not all are phishing attempts, but many are.
