Vocalist Wanted For Metal Band

Meets

Chicago IL

Description

Our band is looking for a vocalist well-versed in metal to join our band. We have a practice space in Avondale (with our own PA) and capabilities for at home and in-space recording, with studio recording being the ultimate goal down the road. Currently we're working on recording a demo album. Drums have been recorded and are in the process of getting mixed and edited, and we're just in the early stages of re-recording guitars and bass--which is why we'd love to get a vocalist on board now as a vocalist might dictate certain necessary changes in song structure. We have samples of our material we can send if interested. If you're able to jam with us in person, great; if you're able to send us samples of other work you've done, or have capabilities of at-home recording, even better in terms of gauging the fit. Stylistically, the music is a meld of doom, black metal, post-metal, groove metal, and some new age death metal. Think Wolves in the Throne Room covering Yob, Gatecreeper covering Cult of Luna, Outer Heaven covering Pallbearer, Wake covering Tool, Throes covering Pantera, Etc. Etc. We're looking for a vocalist that will help compliment that style and bring a new voice and dimension to the songs. Our ideal vocalist would be able to mix in a range of guttural growls, baritone barks, and blackened screams; if you can only do one of those that's not a dealbreaker. Clean singing is...cool, but likely not going to be a fit for the majority of the material. If you write your own lyrics, great; if not, don't worry about that. If you have some ideas for band graphics and visuals, also great, but not necessary. Ibid if you play an instrument, although we are not looking to add a second full-time guitarist. As we're in the midst of working on this album, we'd love to get someone in there very soon for writing and recording. As far as live shows go, we're still very much in a pandemic so there wouldn't even be the possibilities of live shows for at least 4-5 months; and based on our age (mid 30s), jobs and life commitments excessive shows and touring are pretty much out of the question. If interested please hit us up!
