Plants and everything lovely for your home and garden - plus a few extras! While our friends way up north (in Atlanta) are shoveling snow, we are looking at Southern Living magazines for garden ideas. Who hasn’t been waiting for the City landscaping crews to start snipping away at the Crepe Myrtles? You know that once they start, it means that we can follow! And if it’s spring in Temple Terrace it’s time for the annual Temple Terrace Garden Club’s Spring Market! The TT Garden Club has been putting vendors and people together at Woodmont Park for a day of “garden shopping”.  And this year is no different! Plant vendors and garden items will be available for sprucing up your home and especially your yards. The beautiful setting of Woodmont Park is a great place to hold the market and allows the Garden Club an opportunity to showcase their “adopted” park. The market is a lively all-day festival including everything from camellias to zebra plants; from yard art to an Arbor Day Tree give-away and includes a wide variety of vendors selling all things beautiful for the home and garden…….and some fun stuff for personal beauty as well. As for the plants, the Club is very particular that every plant vendor be the actual grower or have extensive knowledge of the plants they bring for sale.  Visitors remark that the ability to talk to the actual “expert” gives them the confidence to try new plants. This is an invaluable teaching tool that cannot be found in a big box garden center.  Who needs a magazine when you can talk to a real live gardener! Of course, it’s all free! No ticket needed. Parking is available at the TT Elementary School immediately west of the park on Ridgedale Ave. Don't forget to wear your mask! All CDC requirements will be in place.
