Description
Greetings neighbor. Thank you for your response. I read it carefully and I don't know if you'll like what I have to say, but this is what it is.
I don't think charging people to flag something is going to help.
To flag something, I think an email explanation should be required. Clicking that button should open up a new tab where you have to type an email with minimum 25 characters of why you want to flag it. The $1.00 per post would pay a person to sit there and sort out the difference between disagreement and inappropriate and look at posts that people complain about. As it stands now, no one reviews it that I'm aware. The system is automated, so once it reaches a certain number of flags, the software just removes it.
There would be other upgrades to the software on the back end that would be necessary. You would want options for posting with a handle, or posting anonymously so that people that want credit for the things they post can take it.
I think this would be to Craigslist's advantage because it allows for posts to go viral and bring more exposure to the website, possibly more revenue, and a chance to create more jobs.
Craigslist is successful because its simple and easy to use, and allows a lot of room for creativity with words. How sentences are constructed is an artform, and in my stupid opinion there should be a creative writing section, and even a section for short stories.
The ultimate source of truth is ourselves. But since everyone's different, one person's truth can be another person's lie. That's why when it comes to economics, I use the scientific method. But, if you do this, it can send you down a path of madness when you realize that we are heading for a disaster. It might be too late. Hard to say.
Most of my removed posts have to do with the need for banking system reform.
