Tulip is ready for her forever family!

Description

Tulip is a 3 yr old short-haired American guinea pig, or cavy. She was living in a home with many other guinea pigs and other small critters for most of her life, but unfortunately the owner got overwhelmed and could no longer care for her pets. Tulip showed signs of aggression and fear when first arriving at her foster home. We are assuming she did not learn to socialize with humans. So far she has not been able to bond with anothet female, or even a neutered male guinea pig. Over the last 8 weeks she has come very far and now allows pets and cuddles (on her terms of course). She hasn't shown aggression in over 5 weeks, because of getting handled daily and lots of fresh veggies and hay. She learned quickly that people aren't so bad. She is still shy at times and may want to hide when catching her. Once she's held in your lap she is very content. Luckily Tulip was never malnourished, so all the time she's been fostered it's just been to socialize her with people before having a new home. Now that Tulip is friendly and confident, she is ready for her forever home! Please remember she must be caged alone. Not with other guineas. Please send an email to get more info on Tulip and to schedule a meet-up! Tulip is currently in Fort Collins.
