I have been developing a meditation practice and disciplined mindset for over a decade, with a stance in classical Zen as portrayed by Bodhidharma.
My practice has no strict posture requirements, no strict rules, only a focus on seeing one's original nature unhindered by desire and form, especially through meditation.
My form of Zen and its stance is Western and has no Eastern-lineage at this time. The Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra is respected. I am currently a layman in Zen but I am an ordained minister of my private practice.
The goal of my practice is to become unhindered by afflictions, seeing them as byproducts of the mind, without a reliance upon scripture, words or letters. Meditation is seen as helpful only towards this goal.
My classes are free upon application. Space is limited.
