RECEIVING AND WAREHOUSING LABORER POSITION AVAILABLE, with well established 40 year Electrical Contractor, has the following position available: BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS MANAGER OF RECEIVING, WAREHOUSING, AND DISPATCHING OF INBOUND AND OUTBOUND DAILY ELECTRICIAN PROJECT MATERIALS NEEDS LISTS. Knowledge of commercial electrical construction materials, holding a valid Maine driver's license, and previous experience operating a larger model forklift in the outdoor yard and inside the warehouse; are skills most helpful to the interested candidate for this position. Daily Work Hours: Monday through Friday, Daytime hours only - 7:30 AM to 4:30PM, 40 hours per week. Job Description involves the following daily activities: 1) Receiving, unloading, and storing of incoming electrical construction material deliveries arriving daily, by common carrier motor freight and electrical distributor delivery trucks. 2) Checking common carrier Bill of Ladings (BOL's) and manufacturers Packing Lists (PL's), in order to verify that arriving new electrical construction materials are received undamaged and in good condition, all in accordance with the contents of the shipment information provided on both the shipper BOL, and the manufacturer PL. 3) Count and Mark BOL & PL items and quantities as 'complete' (or short), and advise company accounting of any damages and/or shortages related to each shipment, typically taking a picture of the damaged goods on delivery. 4) This position also includes loading, preparing and dispatching selected electrical construction materials headed outbound from the warehouse, to each electrical construction project, based upon project manager's, or the electrician foreman's, daily materials needs lists, which are called-in daily to the shop for dispatch to a construction project typically within the next 1-3 business days. This is a great position for an organized person in good physical condition willing to load and unload freight, while at the same time learn the materials and construction dynamics of the electrical trade.
