We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Chico area near Chico State University. The ideal team member will have prior apartment community maintenance experience and be available for on call service as well. Full medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, and sick pay.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to- day maintenance operations of an assigned communities. This position will cover two sites - around 100 units combined.
Duties include: scheduling vendors, repairs in the areas of electrical, plumbing, swimming pool, dry walling, exterior structural, and appliances. Inspecting apartments before and after move in and move out, as well as after the apartment has been turned. Property inspections and repairs. Cleaning of the grounds. After hour calls will need to be addressed. Driving between sites 1/2 mile apart would be required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• On call maintenance for after hour/non business hour emergencies is required
• Must have dependable transportation and a good driving record
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and the Internet
