Setup and Breakdown Assistant - Weddings and Events

Wilmington-based wedding and special events design company looking to add strong and hard-working individuals to our delivery, set-up, and breakdown team. You would assist our team with the delivery, setup and breakdown of our event designs and rental items. Ability to lift heavy objects is a must. Work is primarily nights and weekends, in accordance with the busy event season. There is the potential for long hours Friday-Sunday, as we often serve multiple events per day or weekend. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Experience driving a box truck and lighting/electrical knowledge is preferred. Available to start immediately is preferred! Tasks include: • pack and unpack all necessary event-related materials before and after events • load and unload, setup and breakdown event-related materials before and after events • operation of delivery vehicle (cargo van or box truck) • maintain clean and organized warehouse (basic cleaning) You will be paid as an independent contractor and receive a 1099 at the end of the year.
