Baby Mystery Snails

Description

My mystery snails have been laying clutches like crazy and I have an abundance of baby mystery snails with plenty more coming soon! (See photos). They can not all fit in my tanks so they must go to good homes. I had to buy a separate tank just for the overflow. The vast majority of them are colored golden at the moment, some with stripes and some without. I have numerous dark ones but it’s hard to tell 100% what their true color will be yet. Some look brown, dark brown/jade. They have medium dark foots with speckles on them. COLORS: The reproducers in my tank are colored golden, magenta, and brown/black (more black). I did have a couple clutches from my snail who was a more chestnut color that is no longer with us. AGES: My oldest baby mystery snails hatched on February 15th. Since then I have had continuous egg clutches hatching. As of right now I have anywhere from 7-10 egg clutches on my tank at all times. They lay a clutch just about every day to every other day, sometimes more than one clutch a day. DIET: Consists mostly of Hikari Algae Wafers and Hikari Crab Cuisine. They also get leftover Blood Worms & fish flakes from feeding my fishes. Hikari is the main brand I use, but you can buy any brand at Walmart or wherever they sell them. They also eat decaying plants, so my tank is filled with everything from Amazon Sword plant to floating Hornwort. I do also have Cuttle Bones that were boiled and put in the bottoms of the tanks for them for added calcium which aids in shell strength & development. SIZES: My golden mystery snails that have reproduced are on the bigger side, ranging about 2 inches wide. Same with my magenta. My biggest golden was probably 2 1/2 inches. My black is slightly smaller and probably closer to the 1 1/2 inch mark. My chestnut was also in the middle. With that being said, I would expect all golden baby snails to be bigger, and darker ones to run smaller. Right now the babies that I will rehome range from 5mm to about 1.5-2cm wide (a little bit smaller than a quarter). You may also choose if you’d like them on the smaller or bigger side. BENEFITS: These guys are AMAZING at cleaning up your fish tank! Between my snails and my two Plecos, my tank has NO algea growing on it ! My glass is SPOTLESS! (on the inside atleast ) These are great for a self-sustaining tank, as they clean the tank spotless and are friendly with everyone. I originally got these guys for cleanup of my tank, and they have been the best workers you could ask for! They also clean up decaying plant matter and leftover food and nastiness on the bottom of your tank. ***REHOMING FEE: Will be $2.00 per snail, unless you would like more than 10, then we can discuss. Fee covers the cost for me to ensure they receive the proper care and housing. You may pick golden, dark, or both and how many you would like of each. DISCLAIMER: I won’t be able to guarantee true color until they’re a little bit older. I will only be rehoming snails that are about a month and a half old to ensure they have a good foundation. REHOMING fee may be paid via Apple Pay or CashApp only. I prefer not to exchange money, just makes it easier. MUST be able to pick up in Groton, CT as I will not be able to travel. Just an FYI: I have two separate tanks. One 55 gallon and one 10 gallon, just in case you get confused by the pictures. Please call or text Kay at .
