Silver State Tree Co. is a full service arboriculture company that specializes in residential and commercial tree care. Silver State Tree Co. is looking to interview qualified applicants to fill an arborists apprentice position. We are looking for long term employees that want to learn the skills of the trade. Job Description: Arborist apprentice is an entry level positions and will spend the first couple of months learning the trade, safe practices of job site, cleanup and overall job site support including dragging and chipping brush, raking and cleaning up the job site. The arborist apprentice also learns the skills required to support other arborists in the climbing and trimming of trees. Apprentices learn rigging techniques, knots, proper pruning practices, tree health, and tree identification. Applicant Skills in order: Ability to learn new skills quickly, disciplined work ethic, motivation to advance skills. Applicant Characteristics: hard working, ability to work as a team, aptitude to learn new skills and retain new knowledge, motivation to advance skill set. Work Load and Pay Structure: This position is full time estimated work load of 35 to 45 hours per week. The position pays an entry level wage of $14.00-$16.00 depending on experience.
