Dear seekers, We are the Tidy Gnomes, a POC/Queer/Women owned cleaning/organizing company in Portland. We are a group of gnomes that provide cleaning/household support and a lot of love and we're looking for a new addition to our team. We go around Portland sharing magic and support. We have found that by connecting with people who we are helping, even when we are cleaning or supporting them while they aren't around, we leave behind sweet thoughts and loving feelings. Each of our clients is doing something they believe in and feel strongly about, whether it is parenting or embarking on a new project, the gnomes are there to support them in defending their happiness. We like to provide a safe and encouraging environment for all of us (co-workers and clients). There is no tolerance for hatefulness or oppressive behavior in our community. COVID-19: We have worked with safety professionals to develop systems and protocols to make sure that we are taking all the necessary precautions to stay safe and healthy. It is our priority to be responsible and to make sure that we are doing our part to keep you and everyone involved safe. Practical skills necessary (Even gnomes with all their magic and strength need some practical skills) ~ welcoming, kind, respectful, and inclusive to all kinds of people. ~ experience cleaning (preferred but we are happy to train and teach you) ~comfortable working on your own ~ self-aware ~considerate ~community oriented ~look up, look down, look all around ~understand how the placement of things can have an energetic impact ~confidence to take a cluttered room and tidy it up ~see details (baseboards, cat hair on couches, cobwebs in the corners of the ceilings) ~initiative (move on to the next task when you've finished one or ask for clarification if you're not sure) ~comfortable asking for help, guidance, and support ~comfortable getting feedback and tips about how to do something better or more efficient ~ability to do multiple hours of physical work, squatting, reaching, scrubbing... ~ability to take training we give you and apply it to new situations (no house/place is quite the same) We are looking to find someone to fill our Rental/Airbnb turnovers and On-call position (Covering shifts and support on bigger jobs). Shifts could sometimes be short (1-3 hours) and sometimes full days. Rental/Airbnb turnovers and covering shifts can vary in duration, location and days - weekdays and weekends. Schedule is typically set a week in advance, however, there can be last minute requests - especially if we need your help to cover a shift. Ideal candidate would have a flexible schedule, be available weekdays and weekends and has a smartphone and a car. A rental/Airbnb turnover is basically us getting a space ready for new guests that are checking in. Compensation: $17.00 an hour while training - 19.00 an hour after training period.
