Hyster-Yale designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks under the Hyster and Yale brand names. We are a global organization and are seeking a Test Technician in our Fairview, Oregon facility that is responsible for designing and testing many of our products. Hyster-Yale is looking for an energetic individual who is well suited to work in a dynamic team environment where they would be required to work effectively with individuals with a broad range of responsibilities and who will have a positive influence on the organization and the success of our future products. This individual will work under the supervision of a Test Engineer to design, assemble, maintain, inspect, test, and make necessary repairs on prototype materials handling equipment parts, systems, or vehicles. They will also determine test requirements, equipment modifications and test procedures, conduct tests, analyze and evaluate data, prepare reports on findings, and provide recommendations. This work is often performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Key Accountabilities: • Fabrication, alteration, assembly and disassembly of prototype parts and test vehicles • Powertrain product development including hydrogen fuel cells • Troubleshooting and diagnostics • Evaluation and reporting of test results with written, photo and video documentation • Complete required test activities to meet project deadlines Minimum Qualifications: • Mechanical and hydraulic skills, coupled with basic engineering knowledge. • Basic understanding of DC electrical circuits • AS degree in related field or certification program with equivalent areas of study. • Minimum 1 - 5 years’ experience - proven ability working with vehicle systems • Extensive knowledge of mechanical/electrical product, and use of test procedures • General understanding of engineering drawings • Good verbal and written communication skills • Basic health, environment and safety knowledge/awareness • Basic computer skills - MS Office and some CAD drafting skills preferred APPLY AT: EOE/Minorities/Females/Veterans/Disabled
