Job summary: This is a starting position that will perform an arrange for functions that include sample production, receiving and processing incoming stock and materials; picking and filling orders from stock; packing and shipping orders, including scheduling transport; and/or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse. This position can lead to advancements for the right candidate. Function: The position of warehouse associate 1 will be working in all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, and preparing of products for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion. Duties and Responsibilities: • Receives incoming material from vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly. • Accurately places products in specifically designed locations in a safe and orderly manner. • Assembles and fills orders to be shipped. • Preparation of shipping documentation. • Making sure orders are picked and packed correctly. • Stack products in corrects bins, following inventory control instructions. • Perform daily equipment’s checks such as lubrication of equipment and heavy machinery. • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat and organized to manager’s standards. • Sweep, dust, and mop as needed and/or assigned. • Operate all equipment with safety in mind, including wearing proper safety protection for the task. • Perform all duties and tasks with “customers first” in mind. • All the duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager. Competencies: • Be able to identify products by size, type, style, and color or product code. • Solid reading skills: must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping orders, picking list, and other documents. • Basic math skills and reasoning skills. • Ability to understand and execute instructions. • General understanding of warehouse operations. • Operate inventory control equipment, i.e., forklifts, handheld devices. Education/Skills: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Good communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills. • Dependable and reliable • Be able to learn quickly. • Computer skills. • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally to shows, if needed. Physical demands and abilities: • Regularly lifts and moves objects 10-65 lbs. • Frequently requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. • Occasionally requires sitting, climbing, or balance. Shift Schedule: • Day Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Pay Rate: Starting at $16.00 per hour, pay increases as you learn and grow.
