Change my SIM card?

Hi I have to change out Sim cards in two of my iPhones. One of them comes out perfect the other one will not release any thoughts? BTW I do not have the correct Sim card tool I’ve been using a small paper clip. It works fine for my older phone but when I tried it on the new smaller one it simply won’t release. I would really appreciate any suggestions thanks. Bob
