Job Description Job Title: Maintenance Technician Reports to: Production Manager Position Summary: Maintains production and Quality by ensuring operation of equipment and machinery Maintenance Technician Job Duties:  Ensures operation of equipment and machinery by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, production machines, pneumatic systems; following diagrams, operation manuals and trouble shooting malfunctions.  Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems and uses testing devices to determine problems.  Completes Small Building construction projects, trouble shooting of electrical systems and repair issues as needed.  Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, forklifts; hand and power tools.  Controls down time by informing production workers of preventive maintenance techniques monitors compliance.  Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing orders and verifying receipts.  Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with rules and regulations  Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.  Performs other duties as assigned  Ability to lift 75 pounds and bend, twist, sit and stand for potentially long periods of time Safety First, but lets get back to work.
