**We are primarily looking for crew members with experience in landscape and lawn care, however if you have a good work ethic and are ready to learn please also apply. We are looking to add a few members to our seasoned lawn and landscape crews. Washington Properties is an established Property Management company that has been in business for over 40 years. Crew member will help maintain grounds at businesses, condominium, and apartment complexes. This position is primarily a lawn care position. This position will perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: mowing, trimming, planting, general clean up, blowing, weeding, mulching, and various lawn care maintenance duties. Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities: - Mow and edge lawns, using power mowers and edgers. - Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing and removing thatch, and trimming and edging around flower beds, walks, and walls. - Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes. - Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws. - Operate powered equipment such as mowers, chain-saws, pruning saws, augers and various other equipment as needed to ensure proper lawn care and yard maintenance. - Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, and other grounds features. - Water lawns, trees, and plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans. - Trim and pick flowers, and clean flower beds. - Rake, mulch, and compost leaves. - Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, and shrubs, and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools. Qualifications: - Willingness to work in a team environment. - Good attendance is a must. - Ability to lift up to 50lbs. - Ability to work in an outdoor environment on a daily basis. - Basic knowledge of landscaping and general Lawn Care techniques is a plus, but not required. - Experience on zero turn mowers is a plus, but not required.
