I need to rehome my female husky puppy. She is 8 months old her birthday is August 13th, 2020. Her name is Sable. Please do your research into the breed before contacting me. She is 100% a stereo typical husky. If you are not prepared for that you are not prepared for her. She cannot be off leash. EVER. She WILL run and not come back. She needs to be exercised. A LOT. A big backyard is not exercise. I mean running her EVERY SINGLE DAY. If you are not an active person. A husky is not the dog for you. If you enjoy calm strolls down the road. A husky is not the dog for you. If you enjoy training for marathons then you might just be active enough for a husky 😅 She requires a lot of mental stimulation. Look into dog puzzle toys. She’s incredibly intelligent and learns quickly. Which also means she bores easily. A bored husky is a destructive husky. She enjoys digging. You need a sandbox for her if you don’t want holes in your yard. This is a husky thing you cannot train this out. She will never stop. Provide a dig box or accept the holes. She buries her toys. Be prepared to replace them often. You will never find them. She has done well so far in a 4ft fence but when determined will jump. I cannot guarantee she won’t jump your fence and take off. I suggest a 6ft or higher fence to be certain. She does dig under fences but just does it for fun she doesn’t go out the holes. Again I cannot guarantee she won’t at your house. She screams like a banshee when left alone. She doesn’t howl. She screams. Again. Cannot be trained out accept it or she’s not the dog for you. She is to be an only dog. Only pet for that matter. She is not good with, dogs, cats, ANY OTHER ANIMAL. NO OTHER ANIMALS. She has never met a child so I don’t know how she is with them but is very rough during play so I don’t suggest it. Older children(I.e. teens and older) is probably okay. She is mouthy during play. She knows “no bite” “no” “leave it” “calm” “sit” “stay” “look at me” “wait” and her release word is “okay” she has a routine for feeding you need to stick to it. She will eat herself sick. She is never to be free fed. She is fully crate and potty trained. She goes to the back door if she has to potty. If you’re not in the room she will run back and forth between you and the back door for you to let her out. She knows “go in your bed” is for her to go in her crate. She cannot be left out of the crate at night. She has a resource guarding issue towards other animals but not people. This is why I say no other animals. We have put months of extensive training into this and it’s not getting any better. We cannot risk our other animals anymore which is why we have made the heartbreaking decision to rehome her. With all that being said. She is incredibly affectionate loves to lay down and cuddle and just be pet and loved on. She loves to play and run around with you. She loves to play chase and tug of war. She loves toys treats. She loves playing in the sprinkler and with the hose. She loves her kiddie pool. She’s decent in the bath and I trained her extensively to accept nail trims which if you do your research is exceptionally rare for a husky. She likes to follow you around and lay at your feet wherever you are. She is the sweetest most affectionate dog ever. She loves to give kisses and be given kisses. She is an incredible dog. And would make someone very happy in the right situation. These things are non negotiable. And as such I will be bringing her to you and taking a walk around your house and yard so I can let you know of any potential issues. If you are not comfortable with this please don’t waste both of our time. She will not go with just anyone. Just because I bring her does not mean I’m leaving her.
