I am currently offering lessons for GUITAR, PIANO, VIOLIN, UKULELE, and MUSIC THEORY/COMPOSITION. All ages and all styles are welcome! I will work one-on-one with you to nail down specific goals, learn to play the tunes you love, and learn how to progress on your own so you will not need a teacher in the future! My name is Andrew Manka, I have a Master's Degree in Music Performance with an emphasis on Music Theory. I was a graduate instructor at Northern Arizona University from 2016-2018 and moved back to Anchorage where I have been teaching full time at the Alaska School of Music ever since. I have over 40 active students ranging from ages 5 to 65. I have been teaching through the school since 2018 and am now branching out to do lessons through my own private studio. The first lesson is absolutely free! You can meet me and see how lessons work out. If you decide it is not for you, no problem! If you decide to continue, private lessons are very affordable and are on a "pay-as-you-go" basis. No weekly payments, no upfront charges, only pay for the lessons you are present for. I am also offering video lessons through Zoom for those who are not ready to meet in person yet.
