Northampton Township is seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team at the township owned Northampton Valley Country Club as a Custodian. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, flexible and willing to take on non-routine cleaning. The Custodian will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing two banquet dining rooms, pub dining room, bathrooms, pro-shop and public areas. No commercial kitchen cleaning is required for this position. This is a fantastic opportunity with flexible hours (make your own schedule) after 10-day training program with our current custodial staff. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment Clean as directed including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal Wash walls, baseboard, trim, window sill moldings (Super Spring Clean) Service, mop, and supply restrooms Clean and maintain public access areas according to our standards Maintain the housekeeping storage room in a neat and organized fashion Observe all safety and security procedures; determine appropriate action beyond guidelines; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly Adhere to all operational excellence standards related to providing a great member experience and customer service Report any maintenance concerns or repairs to the appropriate personnel and through the proper reporting systems Provide assistance to maintenance staff and other staff members as needed. Maintain open communication with direct supervisor, including, but not limited to, checking in before shift’s end to ensure all necessary tasks have been completed for the day Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look for ways to improve and promote quality; apply feedback to improve performance; monitor own work to ensure quality Represent the Township and the Country Club in a professional manner at all times Perform other related duties as assigned or requested Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, and kneel. Must be able to reach with hands and arms, be able to use various objects, tools and controls to perform tasks, and have the ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds.
