Legitimate pics of animals are not distorted in any way. If the pic is stretched, squished, tiny, or blurry, the pic has been copied from elsewhere on the internet. You can do a Google image search.
Legitimate posts should not demand that you text personal information or scan a code. Craigslist has a relay service.
