Fridays 5:30-6:30pm - Doodlers Ages 6-9, 6 classes 6 week session May 14, 21 June 4, 11, 18, 25 Tuition - $85 plus $10 material fee This class is ideal for children who may show a strong interest in art from a young age. This is an introduction to basic drawing concepts and activities. Students will learn how to draw various subject matters from popular cartoons, books, and everyday life while becoming familiar with various drawing materials including unique use of crayons, pencils, color pencil, and markers. Fridays 6:30-7:30 – Drawing 1 Ages 10+, 6 classes 6 week session May 14, 21 June 4, 11, 18, 25 Tuition - $85 plus $10 material fee This class is ideal for anyone who wants to learn how to draw with little to no drawing experience. Students will develop an in-depth understanding of form, shading, highlighting, basic color theory, and observation techniques through the use of various drawing materials including pencil, color pencil, and pen & ink. Fridays 7:30-8:30 – Drawing 2 Ages 13+, 6 classes 6 week session May 14, 21 June 4, 11, 18, 25 Tuition - $85 plus $10 material fee This class is ideal for anyone who already understands basic drawing fundamentals. This is an intermediate class that allows students to practice and refine all drawing techniques by copying personal photos, magazine photos, cartoons, landscapes etc. Students will practice using a grid system and other measuring drawing techniques. This will also expand on new drawing materials including chalk and oil pastels, weighted pencils, graphite powder, kneaded erasers, and various different types of paper. Sundays 11:30am-12:30pm - Mommy & Me Artmaking Ages 3-5, 6 classes 6 week Session Sun May 16, 23, June 6, 13, 20, 27 Tuition - $85 plus $10 material fee Create works of art with your child through the practice of basic mark making to improve fine motor skills and to stimulate cognitive function. This will be an introduction to shapes, colors, finger paints, glue, and cutting with scissors. Sundays 1:00-2:30pm – Still life Workshop Ages 14+, 6 classes Tuition - $85* This workshop is ideal for anyone looking to learn or practice drawing from observation, also perfect for anyone considering a major studio art. Each session will include a unique still life display that will include a variety of dramatic lighting, scale, and form. Students will be practicing and familiarizing with advanced drawing materials including charcoal, weighted pencils, graphite powder, kneaded erasers, and pen & ink. *Supplies for this workshop must be provided by the student, a list of materials will be covered upon the first class. Sundays 3:00-4:00pm – Collage Workshop Ages 16+, 6 classes * Tuition - $85. If you’re creative but can’t draw a stick figure this is the workshop for you! This workshop is ideal for anyone who loves to cut and paste, no prior experience required! Enjoy a fun, social hour of cutting, gluing, and piecing together unique works of art. This workshop will cover various collaging materials, techniques, basic concepts of color theory and composition.
