Diesel USA Group is seeking a full-time Mechanical Technician Apprentice for our Louisville, Kentucky location. This is an entry level opportunity leading to a career as a Diesel Technician with a leading provider of after-market diesel engine components, service, and repair. You will disassemble diesel fuel injection components, make modifications and reassemble the component for testing. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final installation. RESPONSIBILITIES Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications Align material and put together parts to build more complex units Check output to ensure highest quality Maintain equipment in good condition Keep records of production quantities and time Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts ABOUT DIESEL USA GROUP Since 1950, we have provided state-of-the-art equipment, technical knowledge, and an amazing amount of inventory to commercial diesel owners. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED Good mechanical ability Ability to use hand tools and machines Good communication skills (verbal and written) WORK SCHEDULE This is a full-time position with a family friendly schedule of Monday through Friday 8:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an hour for lunch.
