Description
Beautiful spayed, vaccinated female cat available for adoption to the perfect home. Bella is turning 2 years old this summer and seeking a family who will indulge her need for cuddles and affection, but give her the space and respect to be a cat. If you're looking for a kitty who will sleep by your feet at night and wake you with cuddles in the morning when it's time for breakfast, if you're looking for a quiet cat who loves to play but is happy to sleep most of the day, you just might love Bella! She is leash trained for walks and comes with a harness that fits and collar with her microchip ID#. She is a whopping 12 pounds of healthy, loving cat. Bella knows her name and comes running when called. Bella had a veterinary exam on 4/12 and was given a clean bill of health. She is showing signs of stress from sharing her living space with my other two cats, and I think she would benefit from a home with either plenty of room or no other pets. She does get along fine with dogs and cats as long as she has her own space and they aren't aggressive toward her. She is very much the queen of the house and will not hesitate to show she's in charge. Bella spent the first year of her life as a barn cat and an excellent mouser. She had two big, healthy litters before being spayed and all her kittens are energetic bundles of love just like her. Because of her past, she can be a bit too aggressive when she plays, so I don't recommend a home with small children who could get scratched or bit by accident when she is in play mode. She does not like being picked up around her belly or back legs unless you are very gentle, but she loves to be held. She would not do well in a home with small animals (like pet birds, fish, bunnies, rodents, reptiles, etc). She loves small kittens and is very much a mama. Bella is the most special, affectionate, lovely cat I've ever had the pleasure of looking after. I originally got her to be a barn cat but she's transitioned into a good housecat and I want her to stay indoors. I can't provide the space she needs and don't have the money to buy a house right now. She's just not a good apartment cat and I love her too much to let her live outside. We will charge an adoption fee equivalent to what you would pay for a similar cat at a shelter. Bella will come with a litter box, food bowls, her favorite toys and blanket. We have all of her veterinary records as well. I am reluctant to re-home her, but looking forward to finding her a home where she can live a better life than we can currently offer. Send me an email about your situation and why you think Bella might be the right fit. We'll arrange a visit so you can meet her, too. It's okay if you've never had a cat before, but please be prepared to show us that you can afford adequate veterinary care for her and are allowed to have a pet in your current living situation.
