We are currently recruiting for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk who will work with our American Building Services team in Chicago, Illinois. We offer local service with a national presence. Summary: Work as a member of our warehouse team focused on the receiving of incoming material and shipping of outgoing UPS/FedEx/Truckload material. General Responsibilities: Examine incoming material and compare with manifests and internal reports to verify accuracy and completeness. Prepare documents, such as bills of lading and UPS shipment labels for outgoing material. Record shipment data such as weight, size, damage, and discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes. Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping. Internally rout material to warehouse staging areas using equipment such as carts, hand trucks or forklifts. Process customer returns and vendor RMAs per internal direction. Maintaining a clean and safe workplace. Assist with other responsibilities as directed. Minimum Qualifications: High School Graduate or GED 6 months to 1 year of related experience Basic computer skills Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and walk for much of the day. Ability to lift 5-50 lbs frequently and ability to lift over 50 lbs occasionally.
