Hello! I am needing to rehome my beautiful 9 year old cat, Chema. I love him dearly but sadly my other cat is scared of him. My other cat is special needs and has to wear a cone. They got along at first but Chema wants to play by chasing and fighting my other cat Whitman. Whitman can't protect himself properly and has resorted to hiding from Chema. Chema is very sweet, loves to be pet and brushed he will sleep by you. He would do best as the only cat or can possibly co exist with 1 other cat that can keep up with him or is similar in size. He was surrendered to the Humane society because his previous owner had more than 2 cats and it stressed Chema out. I would like to find someone who would take care of him rather than surrendering him. He is a large cat, he weighs around 14 pounds and I also included his DNA results. Chema has Hyperthyroidism so he does take medication. It cost less than $50 and last for several months. (Depending on how much you get from your vet) He will need extra vet visits. Just 2 visits a year to get a blood test to make sure his levels are good. He goes in the litter box well. I have noticed when I go back to my parents home and take them with me Chema shys away and hides. So I think he'd do better in a home with a single person or a very small family or older couple. He likes Fancy feast wet food and that's how I give him his medicine, I crush it in his food. I also give Purina dry food. He is free to a great home. He'll come with his medicine, some food, treats, a couple toys and any vet info you need. I bought a second cat tree when I got him that is smaller.
