LIFEGUARDS – Seasonal The Greencroft Club is hiring lifeguards for this season. We have part-time and full-time positions available. • supervises swimming activities at the facility and ensures that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed. • present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service. • supervises and maintains the safe use of swimming areas. • aids, performs and directs necessary water rescue maneuvers and first aid. • performs bathhouse maintenance. • signs in members and their guests. QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a valid Red Cross or equivalent lifeguard certificate; Red Cross First Aid and CPR; must be in good physical condition; must be able to work the entire season; must possess the ability to follow oral and/or written instructions. PHYSICAL CONDITIONS AND NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS: This position requires exposure to the sun for extended periods; involves frequent walking or standing; ability to swim short distances (50 yards) at any given moment. Performance of more strenuous physical tasks to perform rescues, such as: running over rough or uneven surfaces; bending or stooping; swimming and diving underwater for extended periods; lifting or carrying persons weighing 100 pounds, and being exposed to potentially life threatening situations on a recurring basis. Daily contact with general public to provide information and enforces safety rules and perform rescues. SALARY: $15.00 hour LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT: May 1 – September 26, 2021 Employment is contingent upon adequate staffing levels and our ability to operate safely under COVID guidelines.
