There will never be any meaningful action over gun control and therefore, gun violence, at least not in my lifetime. No amount of petty small acts by Congress will ever be meaningful while some politicians are paid directly by the NRA and other gun lobby groups. Their allegiances are clear, and there is just no way round that. Those who hide behind the Constitution on this are as guilty as anyone if not more so since the Right To Bear Arms was only ever meant to protect civilians against an armed militia, not to arm the morons who are killing people daily on our streets, This continues to be our greatest tragedy, and continues to hold us back, and won’t be changing any time soon. We are the greatest Democracy, yet unlike others in Europe and elsewhere, we are the only one blighted and held back in this way due to corrupt politicians. Tragic.
