Chippewa County is accepting applications for an Operator IV (Hotmix) position within the Highway Department. The job duties of the Operator IV (Hotmix) include the ability to use a variety of heavy equipment for the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges. Winter maintenance activities will be required for this position. Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Must be able to operate a variety of equipment relating to construction and maintenance of roads and bridges. Minimum three (3) years’ experience in heavy equipment operation on a routine basis, with experience operating a hotmix plant preferred. Class A CDL without restrictions E and L and N-Tanker Endorsement required within 6 months from date of hire. Starting Wage: $22.50 - $24.30 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $30.38 per hour.
