I just set up a small home recording studio - running Presonus Studio One Professional. Looking for a recommendation as to what computer folks are using. I don't need a laptop (have a nice one already - and don't want to use it in my studio). It could be a PC with tower or a stand-alone unit. I can go up to $1,400.00 for the computer and monitor - a 24" monitor would be fine. I want plenty of horsepower for plug-ins, etc. - Having said that - once I am done with a song - I will remove it from the recording computer and store it on a flash drive. I don't want one that is hand-built. I would rather that it is a stock model - bought from a regular supplier with a warranty, service, etc. Thanks !
