Electric: reading, theory, chart reading, scales, no tabs, no slap/pop. Upright: reading, theory, orchestral excerpts, legit, jazz, Simandl. Electric: I don’t slap/pop/pick. I stress symmetrical scale/modes/chord pattens in all keys. Improve your understanding/ability for pure fun or college major/minor prep. Former member of the Philharmonic bass section and NYS certified in instrumental music K-12. I expect a target of daily practice (reality is another thing).
