Hill Hiker, Inc. specializes solely on the custom manufacture and installation of outdoor hillside elevators. Also known as incline lifts, lake trams, funiculars, etc. We highly encourage anyone interested to learn more about our company and product at our website: hillhiker.com Job Overview: We are looking for a new team member to join our field operations that is responsible for the installation and service of our hillside elevator products. This new team member would work in the field as an installer with the potential advancement to lead installer and someday manage projects from the field. Installers need to be self-motivated, independent, hardworking individuals with good problem solving skills. Lead installers manage crews of generally 1 to 3 installers and must work with project owners, engineers, architects, sub contractors, etc. to plan and execute installations. Installers will be trained in technical knowledge and must be willing to perform heavy manual labor and work with all types of power and hand tools to complete projects. To view a simplified slideshow of the Hill Hiker manufacturing and installation process go to: hillhiker.com/installation Duties: -assist in the installation and service of Hill Hiker® products -assist in the installation and service of Hill Hiker® outdoor hillside tram elevators -assist in the manufacturing process if needed -perform other technical or mechanical duties related to the companies daily activities -perform all tasks in a safe manner and ensure all are using the proper PPE and working a safe manner Responsibilities: -ability to work as a team member on job site and help direct local labor supplied by client -willingness and capacity to gain technical knowledge of product -troubleshoot service issues -communicate with customers, general contractors, sub contractors, etc. -stay organized and keep track of required tools and parts -problem solve and be responsible -keep track of expenses when traveling -document field progress and regularly report to office -follow installation protocol and quality control tests Candidate Required Skills: -mechanical sense -experience with common hand and power tools -ability to lift and move heavy and awkward objects on inclined hillsides -ability to work with steel, concrete and wood materials (no welding experience necessary) -ability to work with or can learn to work with low voltage electrical -ability to drive pickup trucks and trailer loads for long interstate trips Qualifications: -Prior elevator or electrical experience desired -Must be willing to travel up to 90% of work time – Including flying & staying in different states and countries. -Must be willing to occasionally work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed – working conditions include working outside in heat/cold/rain/snow -Must have valid drivers license -Must be able to pass a DOT drivers test* -Must be able to lift 75+lbs -Must be able to qualify for a Passport if you do not already have one -Must have reliable vehicle to get to office/shop/work trucks as needed -Must pass background check and drug test Pay and benefits: -$.....
