SEEKING SOMEONE TO MAINTAIN A GROWING YARD. Tasks include: Mowing relatively small areas, and some weed whacking; pulling weeds; some pruning and grass plug planting; watering and setting up (temporary) water system(s); and keeping an eye on the green areas of the property in general. (The man who has been doing this works 2 - 4 hour shifts a week. He can train the new person). Am expanding the usable yard area onto hillsides that surround the home. New plantings of fruit trees and shrubs will be installed in late spring. Those will need to be nurtured a bit. There are new terraces, trails, plants and grass. We've been concentrating on eliminating the weeds as we promote lawn grass and ground cover to fill in. Been removing and/or covering/smothering buffalo or Guinea grass. Most plant abatement methods are without poison. Occasionally we use a mild herbicide. The 3 acre property has one home which is rented now. Nice tenants to get along with. Beautiful location with spectacular views makes for a great work environment! Friendly, team-player attitude is ideal! Experience helpful but not required. The ability to work hard, and in the sun, is needed. Problem solving and good communication skills are important. Staying in touch with owner is important. Hours/days are flexible. PAY IS $18 PER HOUR. Paid twice a month via Venmo. Must have references. Longer term commitment preferred, but not a deal breaker. Reply via email with questions and qualifications. Mahalo!
