Description
As the Field Technician you will be charged with gathering all the information necessary for our estimating department to competitively price large commercial reroofing projects. The ideal candidate must be organized, motivated, detail oriented, and driven. Being able to keep on-task and work independently is a must. Responsibilities of the Field Tech include, but are not limited to, the following:
General Departmental Responsibilities
· Gather information on-site for reroof projects.
· Categorize all aspects of large commercial roofs.
o Field measurements
o Core samples
o Pictures
· Convey all information to the estimating department in a neat and efficient manner.
o Neat handwriting
· Daily travel in the region (NJ, PA, DE)
· Perform preventive maintenance inspections
· Professional interaction with clients
· Skilled in use of various hand tools used in roofing and sheet metal trade. Examples are hammers, utility knives, measuring tape, chalk lines, etc.
· Participate in regular review meetings with department manager
Qualifications
· Ability to carry, set, secure, and safely climb a 32’ fiberglass ladder, working at heights
· Know the proper usage of measuring tapes and basic hand tools
· Excellent observation skills, attention to detail
· Excellent Communication Skills
· Must be extremely organized and have the ability to multitask
· Valid Drivers license and clean driving
· Roofing Industry experience in EPDM, TPO, PVC, Modified Bitumen, BUR and Shingles
· Efficient in time management
· Professional demeanor in all customer and company
