We are currently seeking Form Carpenter/Concrete Finisher positions. Duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required, but may generally include: Form Carpenter tasks when required on site such as: Forming and framing basic concrete pads utilizing 2 x 8's, IOS, etc. Forming and framing bulkheads for isolating concrete pours. Forming and framing plywood enclosures for duct bank concrete pours. Forming and framing for general purposes as requested per job site needs. Measuring and cutting materials to exact dimensions per plans and layout. Utilizing grade stakes for exact placement of formed enclosure/fabrication. Utilizing levels to attain correct elevations per grade stakes. Installation of rebar, wire mesh, etc. in formed enclosure/fabrication per plans and details. Concrete finishing tasks when required on site such as: Assisting in pouring of concrete in formed enclosures. Finishing concrete with correct tools, bull floats and trowels. Applying curing compound to finished concrete if required. Tooling concrete pours when concrete is surrounded/encased in asphalt. Finishing around various obstructions in concrete surface such as lighting base cans, sonitube bases, etc. for a professional final product. Communicating with supervisor when material, tools, and hardware is needed. Carpentry and concrete finishing duties will not fulfill entire job duties throughout the day; therefore, laborer duties will be expected when not forming or finishing. These duties include but are not limited to the following: Dock Building from start to finish per engineered specifications. Running Jack Hammers, using saws, hammers, pick axes, shovels, etc. MUST HAVE CLEAN BACKGROUND - NO FELONIES. Must have a valid Driver License. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions outside on an airfield runway - No indoor work. Able to work all shifts and varied work hours. Good communication skills. Minimum of 7 years form carpentry and concrete finishing experience. MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF AND EXPERIENCE WITH CONCRETE FORMS AND SHORING TO APPLY. Knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment of the carpentry and concrete finishing trade. Knowledge of the mechanics of concrete finishing. Knowledge of survey/layout stakes, lines, markers etc. Knowledge of surface preparation when pouring concrete. Knowledge of the potential occupational hazards connected with concrete finishing and form carpentry and the safety standards and practices, which should be applied. Ability to work in ditches and from ladders (if necessary) to perform form carpentry and concrete finishing tasks. Commitment to Teamwork.
